Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BecomeYou collects, uses, and protects your personal data, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1.Who we are

BecomeYou is operated as a sole trader / small business based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide when using becomeyou.fit.

2.What data we collect

• Name — collected at checkout to personalise your blueprint.
• Email address — to deliver your PDF and send order confirmation.
• Quiz answers — your goals, level, equipment, diet, injuries and motivation, used solely to generate your plan.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
• Technical & usage data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via our host (Vercel) and Vercel Analytics.
• Advertising measurement data — if you arrive from one of our TikTok ads, the TikTok Pixel may record that you visited and whether you completed a purchase. See section 8.

3.How we use your data

• To generate and deliver your personalised blueprint.
• To send your order confirmation and download link.
• To process your payment securely via Stripe.
• To respond to support or refund requests.
• To measure whether our adverts are working, and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you've separately opted in.

4.Legal basis for processing

• Contract — to fulfil your order and deliver your blueprint.
• Consent — for the advertising pixel and any optional marketing (see section 8).
• Legitimate interests — to run and secure the website and prevent fraud.
• Legal obligation — where required by UK law (e.g. financial records).

5.Third parties we use

• Stripe — payment processing (privacy policy).
• Anthropic — AI generation of your blueprint. Inputs are not used to train models under our API terms.
• Vercel — website hosting, serverless functions and privacy-friendly analytics.
• TikTok — advertising measurement via the TikTok Pixel (privacy policy).

6.How long we keep your data

• Order records (name, email, payment reference) — retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.
• Quiz answers — retained up to 90 days, then deleted, unless needed for a live support query.
• Generated PDF content — not stored on our servers after delivery.

7.Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the use of your data. To exercise any of these, email becomeyouquiz@outlook.com — we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8.Cookies & tracking technologies

We're transparent about every tracking technology on the site:

• Essential — session storage that remembers your quiz progress. Required for the site to work; no consent needed.
• Analytics — Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that counts visits without identifying you personally.
• Advertising — the TikTok Pixel, which helps us see whether our TikTok ads lead to visits and purchases. This is a non-essential tracking technology that shares limited event data with TikTok and may set cookies.

The TikTok Pixel is non-essential, so under UK law it should only run with your consent. You can opt out of TikTok ad personalisation in your TikTok settings, and most browsers let you block third-party tracking.

9.Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (SSL/TLS). Payments are handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure — we never see your card details. Access to retained order data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
